During these six weeks all Holmes County Libraries will accept new canned & boxed food items as payment for library late fees. *Food items cannot be accepted as payment for lost or damaged items.

Elf Training Workshop on MONDAY, DECEMBER 1ST @ 6:30pm. Calling all elves - Come for training to work in Santa's Workshop! Learn to:
-Decorate Cookies
-Trim a Christmas Tree
-Make Toys
...and so much more!

2008 Writing Contest Winners!

The HCDPL Writing Contest Judging Committee would like to announce the winners of the 2nd Annual Holmes County District Public Library Writing Contest:

Teen Category Winner

Eva Ruth Miller from Holmesville with "Alex at the Library"

Adult Category Winners - Tied for 1st Place

Lori Priebe from Big Prairie with "The Dream"

Joylee Goff-Watson from Nashville with "At the Library"

Each winner received a $25 Visa gift card complements of the Friends of the Library and will have their story published on the HCDPL website soon. Check back to read the winning entries!
